Hair icon-Bjork

Hair icon Bjork

Few artists inspire us as much in terms of look as the eccentric Bjork.

Over time, she has turned her hair in a way of expression. Promoting styles still new and shocking, even unwearable, for avantgarde shootings in the 90s … all the elements in Bjork’s style are amazing and revealing. Punk, grunge, Asian, Nordic influences, all are found in her style and hairstyles that hairdressers everywhere are interpreting today. Like that loose ponytail, with a side parting, the pigtails childish look or the one look that best defines her: small-loop “horns” brought back in fashion in so many ways …

Everything she does has a vision, a concept and the execution of the musical part is accompanied by visuals out of this world.

If the artist’s career might interest you-and we could not imagine why not?!, the Museum of Modern Art in New York is organizing a retrospective of her career. It is an experience that addresses all senses and should be viewed with an open mind to new ideas, because the artist is known as an innovative both in music as in special effects. Her most recent musical material, Vulnicura, will also be promoted by MoMA using “Black Lake,” a video installation created by Andrew Thomas Huang.
