Expozitia “Women” by Annie Leibovitz

In urma cu 15 ani, reputata fotografa de moda Annie Leibovitz a inceput sa lucreze la proiectul fotografic numit “Women”, o carte de portrete in colaborare cu partenera sa Susan Sontag. Dupa ani si ani cartea s-a transformat intr-o expozitie minunata, care va fi dezvaluita publicului larg in Londra in ianuarie si apoi va continua in 10 orase din intreaga lume, inclusiv Tokyo, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, Frankfurt, New York si Zurich.

Noile fotografii realizate de Annie care vor complete expozitia vor deveni parte din colectia de arta a UBS, care detine una dintre cele mai ample colectii de acest fel- peste 35.000 de lucrari semnate de artisti precum Cindy Sherman, Tina Barney sau Sam Taylor Wood.

Pe tot parcursul carierei sale, fotografa Annie Leibovitz a captat pulsul modernitatii, creand portrete unice ale unor personalitati nemaivazute astfel niciodata de publicul larg. Chiar si vedetele de talie internationala se inghesuie sa treaca prin obiectivul sau.


The exhibition “Women” by Annie Leibovitz

15 years ago, the prominent fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz began working on a photographic project called “Women,” a book of portraits in collaboration with partner Susan Sontag. After years and years, the book turned into an exhibition that will be unveiled to the general public in London in January and then continue in 10 cities around the world, including Tokyo, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, Frankfurt, New York and Zurich.

New photographs taken by Annie that will complete the exhibition will become part of UBS’s art collection, which holds one of the largest collections of this kind 35,000- works of art by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Tina Barney and Sam Taylor Wood.

Throughout her career, photographer Annie Leibovitz has captured the pulse of modernity, creating unique portraits of personalities never seen this way by the public. Even leading international stars wish to pass through her lens.
