The Oyster Perpetual Rolex made \u200b\u200bin 1949 was sold in an auction by house Christie’s for the amount of 1.2 million dollars, becoming the world’s most expensive Rolex design. The watch bears the signature of the artist Marguerite Koch, is made of 18k gold and depicts a boat floating on troubled waters. Sales price was expected to range between $ 570,000 – 1.13 million dollars, however, the anonymous buyer raised it to the exact amount of $ 1,220,632.<\/p>\n

According to the consultant Knight Frank, collectible watch market grew by 4 percent from last year and 32 percent in the past five years. We can say that this segment of the luxury market remains in a strong position, even in unstable economic conditions and volatile stock markets.<\/p>\n
